We Drink Our Fill and Still We Thirst for More

"It is not over, till it is over!"
If the House and Senate do correctly today, Americans will get a few slices of bread out of the loaf of Health Care. At least now the seal on the package has been broken.

Watching the sour countenances and hard faces of the opposing side reminded me of the fact that these guys don't intend to quite fighting against this or any other "social justice" concept requiring equity that cross their path.

It is the ultimate cosmic mystery: "(Ecclesiastes 8:14) There is something else meaningless that occurs on earth: righteous men who get what the wicked deserve, and wicked men who get what the righteous deserve. This too, I say, is meaningless."

Shit Just Happens.

And a lot of it is happening now. Of course the Republicans are the good guys as they themselves know. What 'we' see as lies, they see as truths we can't seem to grasp. What we see moving forward they see as the fall of the Nation. We are at an impasse.

Ecclesiastes 8:16-17 "When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe man's labor on earth—his eyes not seeing sleep day or night- then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all his efforts to search it out, man cannot discover its meaning. Even if a wise man claims he knows, he cannot really comprehend it."

Republicans are not Ecclesiastians.
They know God's mind.
They know that He is on their side for they are the Righteous.
They claim His promises as they see them having been made.
They can't stop, because if they do stop, then they were wrong about what God wanted, and they can't be wrong because they know the mind of God in these things.

Republicans know that under the Law, Their King can do no wrong!
Democrats believe in Justice and that they should not suffer a wrong to be without a remedy!

It is not over, it will never be over.

"O the dragons are gonna fly tonight
They're circling low and inside tonight
It's another round in the losing fight
Out along the great divide tonight

We are aging soldiers in an ancient war
Seeking out some half remembered shore
We drink our fill and still we thirst for more
Asking if there's no heaven what is this hunger for?

Our path is worn our feet are poorly shod
We lift up our prayer against the odds
And fear the silence is the voice of God
And we cry Allelujah Allelujah
We cry Allelujah"

Can't figure those folks out. The metrics on US healthcare are dismal by any count and it is clear
reform of some sort is critical.
Whether knowingly or innocently, they are but shills for a gorged
megabusiness.

Like Job they remember when:

"I smiled at them, they scarcely believed it;
the light of my face was precious to them.

I chose the way for them and sat as their chief;
I dwelt as a king among his troops;

But now they mock me,
men younger than I,
whose fathers I would have disdained to put with my sheep dogs."

Surely God would not be against them on this. Therefore it must them there "others". That God would deliver Them into the hands of the sinful, inconceivable! Not possible! This can not stand!

It is hard to become dust.
