So Senator Tom Coburn is now embroiled in the national media as an element of two Senatorial adultery stories, and living in the Church Building of "The Family" on C Street in Washington. Of course Tom will keep all his involvement secrete because of his privileged communications as a Doctor of Obstetrics and/or Ordained Southern Baptist Deacon.

But the real showing of Oklahoma's Clown Act will begin Monday.
"Three Republicans have said they will vote against Sotomayor, presuming her nomination is moved through the committee. Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., bluntly says he voted against Sotomayor in 1998 when she was approved for her current job as an appellate judge, and he sees no reason to change his position now."

The Sotomayor Senate Hearing begins then, and Inhofe , our 75 year old thro-back to Jim's-crow, will be there to help the Republicans to establish their position on her confirmation to SCOTUS. If you have never witnessed Jim's astute style in a hearing you need to catch this one. Don't just watch the excerpts on FOX or MSNBC, catch it on CSPAN. Pop the popcorn, pour yourself a Diet DP, sit back and enjoy as Jim seals Oklahoma's racist reputation and erases some of the work done by good people here over the past 50 years.
Then come back here to my blog and tell me what you saw, heard, and felt.
Have fun!

Dear Lord, I guess the more clowns the better. Steve Largent, former Oklahoma Congressman, former Gubernatorial candidate and former resident of C street counseled Sanford about his affair.
"One of group on Wednesday confirmed counseling Sanford about the governor's affair.
"Former Rep. Steve Largent, a member of the C Street community, said he had discussions with both Mark and Jenny Sanford this year, regarding their marriage," Largent said in a statement to the AP."
OK, Oklahoma, why did the C Street group donate $1.7 million to:

Say ER, this is a brick duplex on a residental street (see Google streetveiw). Aren't it interesting.
I just did a post with some general comments on the whole C Street thing, which is being presented by some in the media as some super-secret cabal of Christian fundamentalists bent on taking over the country.
I always liked Steve Largent when he played football. Why do these people turn out to be such weirdos? Like the guy who played "Gofer" on The Love Boat was elected a conservative Congressman from Iowa back in the 1980's.
I am a "fan" of both Kieth and Rachel. They are just good antidotes for the crazy Right's shit. They have flaws for sure, like their own frigging agendas. They are also "fundamentalism" illiterate and thus misread a lot of things when reporting about that culture. But I find that helpful. It gives me a point of reference with which to gauge the coastal based media elites ignorance on the subject.
The C-Street Family is going to be a fascinating story, but it is only one of dozens of such organizations hovering in the power cloud around the D.C..
Shine the light on them all!
My laptop stuttered and posted that last thing four times. I guess
My fingers are to bigslowandclunky to use such a temperamental little thing.
