What Do the Brown Pelicans Know? Ask Them.

So the sea lions leave San Fransisco and now the Brown Pelicans won't leave Oregon for their summer feeding grounds in California.
(See Pelican Story)
Now we got giant squids showing up by the hundreds along the beaches of Southern California.
(See Squid Story)
Maybe we need to talk to the animals.
They may have something to say.

Maybe I should mention that two weeks ago the Gulf Stream briefly moved away from the European Coast to West of Greenland. Europe got very cold. It has been 50 years since the last time this happened.
The theory is that the melting of the Greenland ice sheet will cause an influx of fresh water into the Arctic and will cut off the Gulf Stream to Europe. Last time that happened was 12,000 years ago. Europe was mighty cold 12,000 years ago.

And while we are tallying climate change indicators, dig the mudslides in California caused by the super strong El Nino. I think the word for these things is "Harbinger".
